The prix fixe menu changes seasonally but typical choices might include a starter of honey-whipped goat’s cheese with compressed watermelon, green beans, hazelnuts followed by the braised belly of outdoor-reared pork with black pudding mash, apple purée, creamed Savoy cabbage and pancetta jus.

Another option might be the grilled fillet of Scottish salmon with pepperade, sautéed potato and wilted spinach.

Take it easy after your meal with a dram in the Cocktail Bar and Lounge.

Your cream tea will include freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream, strawberry preserve and cake, served with a choice of teas, tisanes & coffee.

Leisure facilities

The hotel’s Vital Health and Wellbeing Club is an elegant spot and full use of the leisure facilities is part of the deal.

The eighteen metre pool has glass walls which fill the room with light and allow you to gaze out onto the hotel’s carefully tended parkland.
