During the Second World War, Winston Churchill was one of several Allied leaders who stayed at what is now the Loch Fyne Hotel.
Regrettably, the outdoors Canadian hot tub, which is currently such a big hit with hotel guests wasn’t installed back then, but it’s easy to imagine him sitting in the steaming water and puffing on a cigar while giving de Gaulle a dirty look.
Thanks to today’s Big Deal, you don’t need to be a big cheese to enjoy all that the Loch Fyne Hotel has to offer.
The Big Deal is for two people to enjoy an overnight stay, Sunday to Thursday, in a standard double or twin room at the Loch Fyne Hotel. Each guest will enjoy a full Scottish breakfast in the morning which will help set you up for a day exploring the Argyll countryside. The hotel has a beautiful location on the banks of Loch Fyne.
All the rooms are en-suite, decorated in warm, natural shades and fitted with high quality fittings and furnishings including coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and trouser press. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
The hotel’s spa features comprehensive leisure facilities including an indoor heated pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and the much loved outdoor Canadian hot tub. For an additional charge, Spa therapies and beauty treatments are available in the Sonas Spa. Advance booking is required for spa treatments.
If you choose to take lunch or dinner in the hotel then the Clansman restaurant makes the best use of the fantastic local produce. Menus are split into two sections which offer dishes ‘From the land’ and ‘From the loch’. The food is complemented by an extensive wine list and a great selection of brews from Loch Fyne Ales.
