History is not a strong point in the Big Deal office. However, we understand that Glasgow’s love affair with Italian food started just before the Bronze Age.
Celebrate the city’s long-standing passion for Italian food at one of Glasgow’s newest Italian restaurants – Riccardo’s Italian Kitchen.
Found at the increasingly hip Finnieston end of St Vincent Street, Riccardo’s Italian Kitchen is perfect for a bite before catching a show at The Hydro or SECC.
It is a friendly, neighbourhood hangout with exceptional food. The List Eating and Drinking Guide reckons that it demonstrates ‘a level of cooking that stands on par with most high-end restaurants’.
A la carte menu
Today’s offer is for one person to enjoy any pizza or pasta from the a la carte menu at Riccardo’s.
As well as the food, the offer includes a glass of house wine or half pint of draft lager.
The offer is available from 5pm, seven days a week.
With fourteen freshly made, nine inch pizzas and seventeen different pastas to choose from, diners have plenty of choice.
The pizzas come with veggie toppings, chicken, ham, sausage or seafood and use authentic Italian ingredients.
We liked the sound of the salsiccia – topped with tomato, mozzarella and spicy Italian sausage.
The pastas are just as enticing. How about spaghetti with prawns tomato and cream? Or the tagliatelle with grilled and marinated chicken?
The List are not the only people to like Riccardo’s Italian Kitchen. The Finnieston Italian also has lots of excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. This is what a couple of recent visitors thought:
‘Excellent. We had a great lunch at Riccardo’s today (before going to Strictly at the Hydro). The service was super fast and the food was lovely – and they changed a couple of the dishes to suit us.’
‘Hidden gem. I have been to Riccardo’s twice now and I cannot recommend it enough. The staff are very attentive and the food is amazing. I have tried the minestrone soup and the paté to start. Both were absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. For the main, both times, I ordered pizza which was also delicious.’
Excellent, lovely, hidden gem, delicious – what will you make of the food at Riccardo’s?
This offer would be ideal for a meal before catching a show at The Hydro. It would be perfect for an after work bite or you could simply use it to introduce yourself to the authentic Italian cooking of Riccardo’s Italian Kitchen.
