Let’s face it, over the next few weeks, the most your hand to eye coordination is likely to be tested is when you try to guide a turkey-filled fork into your mouth after three pre-lunch glasses of sherry.
If you would like to test your skills a bit further then today’s Big Deal on clay target shooting should be firmly in your sights.
The Big Deal is for a clay target shooting session at the North Ayrshire Shooting Ground in Dalry. A 40 minute drive from Glasgow, the grounds offer some of the best all weather shooting facilities in Scotland and the cosy clubhouse and ample parking are added bonuses.
Olympic skeet team
The offer provider is Ron Howie who, in addition to being a fully approved instructor at the North Ayrshire grounds for the last ten years, has also been a member of several Olympic skeet teams in both Scotland and South Africa.
50 clays for 4 guns
An ideal introduction to clay target shooting, the deal will give you the chance to try your aim with four, very different 12 gauge shotguns.
As well as an over and under shotgun; a side by side and a semi-automatic, Big Deal sharpshooters can see if they can handle a pump action shotgun.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to pulverise the 50 clay targets as they fly over the shooting range in front of you.
All equipment, cartridges and targets will be supplied along with professional instruction and, of course, safety advice.
This Big Deal would make a great day out for friends; a works outing or simply a fantastic introduction to the exciting sport of clay target shooting.
It would also make a welcome gift for a friend who had always been interested in clay target shooting but never knew where to start.
