There’s nothing run of the mill about today’s Big Deal on an overnight stay in Pitlochry’s Old Mill Inn.
A family-run business, the Old Mill Inn is a popular place to stay with a modern bar & bistro and delightful en-suite accommodation. Converted from an 18th century corn mill, the water wheel is still in situ and makes an interesting backdrop to the Inn’s outdoor courtyard area.
Centrally located, the Old Mill is an ideal base for a quick night away, or why not purchase multiple vouchers and stay a bit longer allowing you to explore the area’s many things to see & do!
While the Old Mill Inn has retained its historic charm, it has all the modern conveniences that you would expect of four star accommodation.
Designed with comfort, space and style in mind, all of the ensuite bedrooms feature flat screen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities and WiFi.
Although located in the centre of town, the Old Mill Inn is relatively secluded and offers private parking.
With today’s Big Deal, two people can enjoy an overnight stay in a standard double or twin room at the Old Mill Inn and soak up its friendly atmosphere. The offer is valid 7 days per week with a supplement of £15 per person, per night for Fri/Sat night stays. Upgrades to Deluxe rooms are available for £15 per person, per night.
A full Scottish breakfast for both guests is included in this offer but the Old Mill Inn is also a popular spot for lunch and dinner with locals and non-residents.
Fresh, local produce is at the heart of the menu; particularly in dishes such as the wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil, the roasted fillet of Scottish salmon on creamy mash with greens and a tomato broth, the home-made Scottish beef burger or the char-grilled Steaks from award-winning Perthshire Butcher Simon Howie.
The CAMRA accredited bar at The Old Mill Inn is one of Pitlochry’s favourites and offers a wide selection of whiskies & real Ales, or why not try one of their delicious cocktails with a nibble or two from their Bar Bites menu.
See and do
The Old Mill Inn gets buzzy with live music from every weekend showcasing some on Scotland’s finest talent as well as open mic sessions on Thursdays.
The surrounding Perthshire and Highlands countryside has plenty to offer as well from castle distilleries and golf to fishing, white water rafting and, for the bravehearts, bungee jumping at Killiecrankie.
For those who prefer a gentler pace, Pitlochry’s Festival Theatre is a short walk away and the town offers varied and interesting shopping or why not head for the “Harrods of the north”, the House of Bruar.
Pitlochry is just an hour’s drive from Edinburgh and under two hours from Glasgow. It attracts lots of visitors who have left glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. Here are a couple of recent ones:
‘Stayed here last night to celebrate one of the girls’ 50th. Great hotel in the middle of town. Very friendly staff, lovely food served at both dinner and breakfast and very nice rooms. Would definitely come back here. Thank you to all the staff.’
‘Excellent, central place to stay…Hotel is in great central position, but off of the main drag. Rooms were clean, well appointed, breakfast excellent and the bar is lively enough, with some live music and a good vibe to it. Would definitely stay here again.’
