Marco Pierre White has two big claims to fame.
The first is that he was the youngest ever chef to earn a coveted three Michelin stars.
The second is that he is the only chef to have made Gordon Ramsay cry (when he was training him).
So it’s safe to say that this legendary kitchen maestro has made his mark on British cuisine.
And if you fancy sampling some quality fare influenced by his vision, now’s your chance with today’s Big Deal from Glasgow’s Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill.
Named after the larger-than-life chef — and decorated with portraits of the man himself — Marco Pierre White Steakhouse is a colourful restaurant based in Hotel Indigo in the city centre.
With its rich red velvet booths, high ceiling, painted wood panelling and seamless service, it’s a very elegant spot to dine in.
Gourmet grill dishes
The restaurant prides itself on serving up classic steak, grill and seafood dishes, many featuring the finest quality, grass-fed Campbell Brothers beef.
Sample mains include fillet of beef a la forestière with a fricassée of woodland mushrooms and buttered leaf spinach, or the grilled swordfish steak a la niçoise with aubergine caviar.
Veggie options are also available.
