That’s why today’s Big Deal from Adventure 001 is a dream come true, with three thrilling flight-themed experiences in one. This includes a 6 mile jet-powered helicopter ride, entrance to the National Museum of Flight and a tour of the legendary Concorde.
To top it all off, a tasty cream tea is included.
Jet-powered jaunt
The experience will begin with an exhilarating 5 minute flight in a fast and powerful Bell JetRanger helicopter.
Departing from the historic East Fortune Airfield, you’ll soar up to 1000 feet into the air, with a friendly pilot guide pointing out local landmarks.
You’ll be sharing the rear of the JetRanger with other passengers but you can upgrade to the co-pilot seat for an extra £10.
The flight includes a safety briefing and Public Liability Insurance.
Spitfires, supersonic flights and scones
Back at the airfield, you’ll go on a tour of the National Museum of Flight. This will be your chance to see Spitfires, Jaguars, Comets and Tornadoes up close in all their glory.
The highlight of the museum is the Concorde Experience, which will give you a peek inside one of greatest flying machines ever built. The tour will include a film telling the story of the world’s first supersonic passenger aircraft, plus an optional audio commentary from a former Concorde pilot.
Finally and fittingly, your tour will be topped off by a cream tea. This mean you can pretend it’s the 1940s and you’ve just landed your spitfire after a daring air battle, in time for some freshly baked scones. Tally ho.
The flight, tour and cream tea will take around four hours.

Important Information
The Big Deal is for 1 person to have a 6 mile helicopter flight, Concorde experience + cream tea.
Flights take off from East Fortune Airfield, EH39 5LF.
Experience lasts around 4 hours with approx. 5 minutes flight time.
Advance booking required. Once booked, purchase holders must also call on the morning of flight to check weather conditions.
The experience will be shared with other passengers.
Includes pre-flight briefing and full public liability insurance.
Purchase holders can upgrade to a co-pilot experience for an extra £10, payable directly to Adventure 001.
Multiple purchases permitted. Up to 3 purchase holders permitted in rear and 1 co-pilot.
Minimum passenger age is 6 and under 12s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Maximum passenger weight is 95kg but please contact Adventure 001 Helicopters if over 16st (102kg).
This experience is not suitable for pregnant women or people with other conditions that may lead to a dangerous situation during the activity including: epilepsy, motion sickness or those who are affected by flashing lights.
Adventure 001 would not advise on the health risks and to contact your GP if any concerns.
Suitable attire must be worn to participate, this includes comfortable clothing and shoes with a heel no higher than two inches.
No alcohol may be consumed prior to participation.
