Today’s Big Deal is the perfect excuse to pay a visit to the West George Street restaurant and enjoy a spectacular Chateaubriand steak with your nearest and dearest.
The building was originally a Greek Orthodox church and the atmospheric restaurant sits in what used to be the crypt.
With a glittering domed ceiling; vibrant murals of Glasgow’s industrial heritage and relaxed brasserie-style service, Chez Mal is a cosmopolitan, city centre venue.
Chateaubriand to share
Available Monday to Saturday, the offer is for two people to share a Chateaubriand steak plus two sides and a sauce.
The offer also includes a bottle of Prosecco or house wine to share.
A superb cut of steak, the 500 gm Chateaubriand is aged for 21 days to intensify its flavour before being pan-fried and roasted to your specification.
Guests can choose two sides to accompany the steak.
Popular choices include the glazed truffle mash, sautéed field mushrooms and, of course, the pommes frites.
Guests are welcome to order additional courses and side dishes. A 10% service charge will be added for extras.

You could use it for a working lunch, dinner, a lazy Saturday lunch or a romantic meal.
The Hydro concert venue is a short taxi ride away while the King’s Theatre is a five minute walk for guests who would like a pre-theatre meal.
