Craving a cheeky Italian meal with your favourite person? Let’s face it, every so often nothing else will do.
If so, then take a look at this Big Deal on a three course Italian meal for two from Gusto in the city centre.
Fizz and limoncello are included, of course.
Stylish Italian dining in the city centre
Taking its cue from the grand cafés of Europe, Gusto is a handsome Italian on Bothwell Street near to the Concert Hall.
As well as a beautiful Art Deco style island bar, it has eye-catching feature lighting, lovely booths and a terrace dining area which is much sought after on fine days.
Three course meal with drinks
Available Friday and Saturdays for lunch and dinner until the end of August, this Big Deal is for two people to each have three courses plus drinks from the 5pm menu.
On arrival, you will be welcomed with a chilled glass of quality Prosecco before sitting down among the fairy lights to dine. Once your meal has ended, you can channel your inner Italian and sip on a traditional Limoncello Di Capri.
The menu may change, but starters available include the goat’s cheese, ricotta & Gran Moravia cheese balls rolled in polenta and lightly fried, served on pickled beetroot and Gusto’s own 12-year aged IGP balsamic, and red pepper coulis; crab mayonnaise, served with crispy focaccia croutes and red pepper coulis; and Milanese-style meatballs & Parmesan crisp, cooked in a lightly spiced tomato sauce with Gran Moravia cheese.
Mains on offer are roast beetroot, aubergine, squash, courgette, red peppers and goat’s cheese filo parcel, with asparagus and spiralised vegetable salad; lemon & pepper seared fresh tuna steak, served with cherry tomatoes, soya beans and Nocellara olives; and flattened rump steak with garlic, chilli, rocket and Gran Moravia.
A great range of desserts are included, such as sticky toffee pudding with real Italian gelato Madagascan vanilla ice cream; vegan chocolate & orange tart with fresh raspberries and raspberry coulis; and the Sicilian lemon pot with Limoncello Di Capri and served with fresh raspberries, and homemade shortbread biscuits.
5pm customers have been loving Gusto. Here’s a recent rave review:
‘First visit, first of many we hope. Considerable menu, good choices, waiter offered both a la carte and fixed price menu, well done. Polite, efficient greeting followed by efficient and pleasant service but the real joy was the food – faultless and perfect! Salt baking fish is a real skill requiring accurate timing and tasty stuffing as well as competent table service. Gusto supplied all of it very well – congratulations.’
Go on, indulge yourself
Whether you fancy an intimate meal with your amour or a gossipy catch up with a pal, this Big Deal from Gusto would make an indulgent option.
Plus if you are heading to the Theatre Royal or concert hall, you could even enjoy this offer before a show.
With fizz and limoncello included, you can soak up the stylish vibe and let yourself be spoiled with three courses of contemporary Italian cuisine.
