We’re not too sure what your resolutions are, but if they’re anything like ours, we are determined to eat better in 2018 than we did in 2017.

Once home to the Bank of England’s Scottish HQ, Urban Bar and Brasserie has retained its dashing good looks.

Decked out with wood panels, stunning flower displays and ornate cornicing, it is rather an elegant city centre spot.

Fresh and seasonal

The kitchen believes in using fresh, seasonal and local produce to create innovative and appealing menus.

Available Sunday to Friday, the offer is for two people to each have a starter, main course and dessert from this menu.

The offer also includes a glass of chilled sparkling wine for each diner. The following is a sample menu of what to expect:

Apple crumble crème brulée

Sticky toffee pudding with Madagascan vanilla ice-cream & butterscotch
