An elegant addition to the existing brasserie at Merrylee Road, Surf N Turf is a candle-lit space and a great catch for anyone who wants to celebrate a special occasion.
Taking pride of place in the venue is a striking painting by the Scottish artist Gerard Burns.
Featuring a magnificent Charolais with a small girl holding a Saltire, for owner Gordon Yuill, the painting symbolizes ‘everything that Surf & Turf stands for: the finest Scottish beef, supporting local produce and supporting contemporary Scottish artists. We want to serve food that was grown here not flown here.’
Concentrating on award winning Scottish meats and seafood, the restaurant uses succulent MacDuff beef, supplied by Q Guild-certified butcher Tom Rodgers while the seafood is from renowned West Coast fishmongers MacCallums.
Our Surf N Turn Opening Celebration Menu features:
Lobster bisque with croutons, rouille and parmesan
Surf N Turf’s own prawn cocktail
Beef carpaccio, rocket and parmesan salad
MacDuff Beef fillet steak
Rack of lamb
1/2 Grilled lobster
All main courses are served with a choice of accompaniments.
Merrylee Road Bar and Kitchen serves a very decent 4.1/5 from 5pm customers while the Glasgow Loves Food blog had the following to say about a meal at Surf N Turf:
‘This is certainly up there with the best meat I have ever eaten and would doubt there is any better being served in Glasgow restaurants today.’
