We could tell you all about how gorgeous the award-winning Dundream House is but, to be honest, we couldn’t better this TripAdvisor review from a couple who stayed there earlier this year:
‘My husband and I stayed in this award-winning retreat for a week and wished we could stay longer! We could not have chosen a more perfect place to relax and unwind. Dundream has it all… Stunning scenery including the most beautiful sunsets, exquisite decor, peaceful countryside, high spec finish, fabulous beaches nearby and plentiful local activities.’
Three or four night stay
Designed to be eco-friendly, close to nature and a haven of relaxation, Dundream House takes a holistic and luxurious approach to high end self-catering.
If you would like to experience the Dundream effect for yourself then this offer is for either a four night stay, Monday to Friday, or a three night stay, Friday to Monday.
Option 1 vouchers are valid throughout December and February with the exception of the period 22.12.12 – 29.12.12. Guests wishing to stay on these dates should purchase option 2 at checkout.
Dundream House is fully kitted out with everything you might need for a hassle-free stay. Electricity, wood for the word burner, towels, linen and a basket of products from the local BareNaked Soap Company are all supplied. A bottle of fizz also awaits your arrival.
Situated on the beautiful, rugged North Rhins of Galloway just ten miles from Stranraer, Dundream has spectacular sea views to the Mull of Kintyre, Northern Ireland and Arran.
It has four bedrooms with ensuite facilities and can sleep up to 8 people in the stylish individually rooms.
The lounge, dining room and kitchen are spacious, airy, well equipped and kitted out with natural fittings such as oak worktops.
A Sonos audio system, 40” 3D television, blu-ray player with a family selection of DVD’s, and Wi-Fi mean that you won’t miss technology during your stay.
See & do
You could happily spend all day sitting on the deck looking at the views from Dundream House but the surrounding area repays exploration.
Unspoiled beaches, spectacular coastal walks and hillwalking in the Galloway Forest and Southern Upland Way are all fantastic ways to enjoy nature. Golf (especially at Turnberry), watersports, mountain biking and fishing are all available nearby.
The Dundream open kitchen is a joy to cook in but the surrounding area is also well served with restaurants. The unique Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel and the Blue Peter Hotel, a former Scottish pub of the year, are within walking distance. At nearby Portpatrick, there are excellent seafood restaurants and pubs. Michelin menus can be enjoyed at Knockinaam Lodge and Glenapp Castle.
Break with friends
With availability until the end of February 2013, this offer of a three or four night stay at Dundream House is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a short break with friends or family on the Galloway coast. The house has been built to blend in harmoniously with its surroundings and would be ideal for anyone keen to unwind before or after the busy festive season.
