The Red Bus Bistro has only recently started running in Glasgow. It has been running in Edinburgh since last year and has attracted lots of glowing TripAdvisor reviews for their tours of the capital. These have been edited for length:
‘Fantastic day. I booked the experience for my Dad’s Father’s Day. He absolutely loved it. The two girls who were serving the afternoon tea and drinks were lovely and very helpful… Plenty of food available and was lovely just driving around Edinburgh seeing parts of it you probably wouldn’t have given a thought to go look at. The girls were very informative… there wasn’t a tour guide on board… there was a map provided of where you were going and, if you asked the girls about the area, they would tell you.’
‘Red Bus Bistro afternoon tea – different! Used our Christmas gift voucher from family to enjoy this different experience. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the trip through the Old and New towns of Edinburgh. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive… Would recommend!!’
‘Got a voucher for the Red Bus Bistro afternoon tea as a gift. The atmosphere on the bus was just right and the staff were lovely. We really enjoyed it. Something really different.’
See your city in a new light
Obviously, Edinburgh is no Glasgow.
So, we can only imagine how much more chuffed the above guests would have been had they taken the tour in the Dear Green Place.
Punch your ticket for this Handpicked Deal and enjoy a glass of wine and gourmet deli board while riding a vintage Routemaster around the sights of Glasgow.
This offer would be ideal for a hen party. As is traditional, the singing must start at the back of the bus.
Of course, a deli board tour would also make a brilliant gift for a friend, family member or visitor to the city.
As we said at the beginning, this is a different way to experience Glasgow.
And, comfortably seated on the Routemaster, everyone can stay warm and dry while enjoying their deli board and wine.
No matter how Glaswegian the summer weather turns out.
