In some parts of Italy, children don’t open their Christmas presents until the day of Epiphany on the 6th of January.

Fortunately, around these parts, we don’t have to be so patient before celebrating the season at the Di Maggio’s restaurants.

Available from the 1st to the 23rd of December, this offer is for one person to enjoy a fantastic three course festive menu at six of the hugely popular Di Maggio’s restaurants in Glasgow, Hamilton, East Kilbride and Airdrie.

Italian American dishes

This tasty Big Deal is for one person to have three courses plus your choice of tea or coffee from the following festive menu.

Option one is available Sunday to Thursday. Option two is available on Fridays and Saturdays.

Both options are available at the following Di Maggio’s: West End, Shawlands, Airdrie, East Kilbride, Hamilton and Theatreland.

Minestrone inverno – a rich winter tomato and vegetable soup (v)

Arancini – crisp crumbed balls of risotto rice mixed with mozzarella and mushrooms, served on caramelised onions with a drizzle of basil oil and Napoli dip

Prawn cocktail – North Atlantic prawns in a traditional Marie Rose sauce on a bed of lettuce, tomato & cucumber with a wedge of lemon

Grilled goats cheese salad – a toasted round of goats’ cheese topped with caramelised onions and pine nuts on a bed of seasonal leaves and roasted red peppers with an apple cider vinaigrette (v)

Ravioli salsa Rosa – pillows of pasta filled with spinach and ricotta cheese in a rich tomato sauce with a touch of cream, wilted spinach and fresh cherry tomatoes (v)

Lasagne famoso – everyone’s firm favourite and all time best seller

Salmon Di Maggio’s – pan-fried salmon with king prawns in a tarragon & white wine cream sauce, roast potatoes & seasonal vegetables

Pizza con verdure arrosto – a hand-stretched pizza with our own pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese & topped with roast mixed peppers, courgettes, aubergine, pine nuts & chilli oil (v)

Fusilli Campagna – Fusilli pasta with courgettes, aubergine, red and yellow peppers and spinach in a rich homemade tomato sauce with a hint of chilli (v)

Dessert

Sticky toffee pudding – traditional sticky toffee & date pudding drizzled with hot caramel sauce with your choice of cream or ice cream

Ice cream & hot chocolate sauce – two scoops of vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate sauce

Di Maggio’s trifle – a sponge base soaked in Marsala & topped with fruit, jelly, custard & whipped cream, finished off with toasted almonds
