Held in the A-listed Briggait, over the Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th August, the inaugural event is great opportunity to chat with the people behind some great Scottish drinks brands.

And learn a little about why Scotland has the greatest drinks profile in the world.

Choice of sessions

This Big Deal gives one person entry to one session of The Scottish Drinks Festival.

The offer is available for both Saturday sessions at noon to 3.45pm and 4.15pm to 7.45pm plus the noon to 3.45pm session on the Sunday.

Great brands

More than 150 different types of drinks will serve taster size signature samples.

Great Scottish brands appearing at the festival include Makkar, Glasgow Gin, Strathearn, Deanston, Bunnahabhain , Old J Rums & cocktails, Fallen Beer, Elephant Gin, Fraiser of Scotland, Savanha cider, Poleta wine, Shetland Reel and One Gin.

The brand experts will be on hand to let you sample the drinks and learn more about their speciality gin, whisky, rum or other treats.

Buy a bottle

If you want to take a bottle home, The Scottish Gantry, a new local specialist wine and spirits retailer will be at the festival.

Most suppliers will take card payment but it’s worth mentioning that if you prefer cash, there is no ATM in Briggait.

Street food

The festival will also feature fresh culinary delights from some of the city’s best pop-up street food specialists.
