Seldom mistaken for a ray of sunshine, the musician Lou Reed remarked that ‘One chord is fine. Two chords are pushing it. Three chords and you’re into jazz’.
Prove Lou wrong – enjoy a jazzed-up three course Sunday lunch for two at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Glasgow.
Taking place on Sunday 26th June 2016, this laidback lunch promises excellent food, wine and some mellow live jazz in the background.
Vibrant colourful restaurant
Named after the larger-than-life chef, and decorated with portraits of Marco Pierre White, this vibrant, colourful restaurant is in the stylish Hotel Indigo on Waterloo Street.
With its huge booth seats and seamless service, the restaurant provides what the chef has called ‘classic dishes, simply cooked using the best, well-sourced, seasonal ingredients’.
The offer is for two people to each enjoy a three course lunch from the market menu plus a bottle of house wine to share at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill.
The exact dishes will vary depending on the products in season. Typical dishes would be a starter of boiled ham en gelée with parsley and piccalilli or the fritto misto of calamari and shrimps.
Popular main courses include the flat iron steak with pommes frites; the coq and shrimp curry with fresh mango and ginger buttered pilau rice or the gnocchi primavera served with spinach, peas, asparagus and Parmesan cream.
Desserts might be the chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream; New York cheesecake or sticky toffee pudding.
Tea or coffee will bring your lunch to a leisurely end and are included in the offer.
Marco’s Glasgow venture has prompted plenty of comments on review sites. This is what a 5pm customer had to say:
