And that’s why we’re excited that chic city centre restaurant Chez Mal is offering a two course meal for two from their new summer selection, plus a glass of Prosecco or a cocktail each.

Atmospheric restaurant

Housed in a dramatic building that was once a Greek Orthodox church, Chez Mal is a very atmospheric dining spot.

With a glittering domed ceiling, vibrant murals and relaxed brasserie-style service, this cosmopolitan city centre venue is ideal for both chilled out meals and special occasions alike.

The kitchen team is led by Head Chef John Burns, who has helped to oversee an exciting new set of dishes for summer.

This deal lets you sample them seven days a week at various times.

Two courses with a drink

Available seven days a week, the offer is for two people to have a starter and main course or main course and dessert from Mal’s new summer prix fixe menu.

The offer also includes a glass of Prosecco or cocktail for each guest. Cocktails are from the Classics or Twists ranges.

The Classics comprise of our old friends Martini, Negroni, Cosmopolitan, Whisky Sour, Pina Colada, Mojito, Manhattan and the Old Fashioned.

The Twists section features the Vesper Martini, White Negroni, Metropolitan, New York Sour, Painkiller, Gin Gin Mule, Tawny Manhattan and a Smoked Old Fashioned.

Ours is a Whisky Sour, thanks.

Charred mackerel, heritage tomato ceviche & coriander

Chicken liver mousse, spiced tomato chutney, rose wine jelly & toasted brioche

Signature summer salad, sautéed chorizo, Beauvale blue cheese, crisp Romaine lettuce, avocado, apple, cherry tomatoes & buttermilk ranch dressing

Mains

Summer stew of grilled Merguez sausages, cannellini beans, tomatoes, parsley, garlic & grilled Altamura bread

Seared soy glazed salmon, crunchy hot & sour salad, toasted cashew nuts, red chilli, poussé & crisp gem lettuce

Sticky BBQ rack of pork ribs, pickled vegetables, roast sweet potatoes & chipotle mayonnaise

Tomato & mozzarella spaghetti, basil, black olives & Parmesan cheese

Desserts

Valrhona chocolate truffle torte, crème fraîche & fresh raspberries

Poached English strawberries, Champagne & mint jelly, stem ginger shortbread

Warm apricot & almond tart, Amaretto crème

Seasonal fromage slate, fruit chutney & crackers
