A collage is made by combining diverse pictures and objects to make a new and different work of art.
We’re not sure if today’s Big Deal at the Collage Restaurant will be eligible for the Turner Prize but, by combining top notch dishes with a wallet-pleasing price, we’re sure that we have created a money-saving masterpiece.
2 course meal
This lip-smacking Big Deal is for two people to each enjoy two courses from the Blu menu at the stylish Collage Restaurant in the Radisson Blu Hotel on Argyle Street. Guests can choose to have a starter and main course or, if you prefer, a main course and dessert. A bottle of house wine to share is also included.
Modern European cooking with regular nods to Scottish ingredients is the ethos at Collage and you can see it at work in starters like the smoked Mull cheddar and apple salad with toasted walnuts and a grain mustard dressing. Other typical starters include the chicken liver pate served with grilled brioche and the prawn and celeriac millefeuille with a chilli and lime dressing.
The menu changes regularly but typical main courses include the honey-glazed gammon loin with rooster mash, cabbage, bacon colcannon and root veg or the slow braised shoulder of beef goulash with button mushrooms, pepper and potatoes.
Among the selection of desserts, you might find dishes such as the citrus posset with ginger shortbread, the Bakewell tart or the selection of Scottish cheeses.
Don’t forget that a bottle of house wine is included in this Big Deal.
The Radisson Blu, which houses Collage Restaurant, is right in the city centre which makes this Big Deal perfect for a shopping trip lunch; a pre-show meal or part of a night on the town.
We think this is a great deal but you don’t have to take our word for it. Collage has been reviewed over 800 times by 5pm users and, at the time of writing, it has a combined score of 4.3/5.
This is what a couple of guests had to say in March:

‘Keeping up standards. A return visit after a year. Food and service still of a very high standard and 5pm offer great value for money’ Rating 4.6/5
