Contemporary Scottish cuisine
A welcoming restaurant and bar, Ingram Wynd is on Ingram Street.
Covered in etchings, pictures, paintings and maps dating from the 19th century, the decor of this Merchant City restaurant is a treasure trove of local history.
While the interior has a fascinating historical theme, the restaurant delivers delicious, contemporary, Scottish cuisine.
Available for lunch or dinner, the offer is for two people to each enjoy a starter, main course and dessert from Ingram Wynd’s rather tasty market menu.
Individual dishes may change depending on availability but typical starters might be the haggis, neeps and tattie tower with a whisky sauce; the smooth chicken liver pâté or the veggie haggis bon bons.
Popular main courses include the roast chicken breast with haggis fritters, chive mash, vegetables and a peppercorn sauce or the BBQ pork belly with an Irn Bru marinade and hand-cut chips.
And, of course, there is always room for classic dishes like the beer-battered fish, beef olives or the ever popular Ingram Wynd fish pie.
This offer is available seven days a week: noon to 8pm, Sunday to Friday, and noon to 4pm on Saturdays.
This is what a couple of diners had to say recently on the 5pm Dining review page. We have edited for length:
‘I have been to Ingram Wynd several times and each time the food and the staff have been wonderful. I can’t recommend enough. Every time I’ve been the food was outstanding. Can’t praise the staff enough, so friendly and helpful.’ Rating 5/5
‘Fantastic restaurant. What a great place. We were greeted with a cheery smile on a cold night by the host. A very warm welcome ensued… Our starters were fantastic… The mains were just as good… A thoroughly delicious meal in a warm and friendly room, this is what Januarys are for. Would I recommend – you bet, can’t wait to go back.’ Rating 5/5
Christmas gift idea
This is a very flexible offer which can be used at different times of the day.
We’re planning on buying a handful so we can have lunch, dinner and maybe even the occasional, romantic date night at the atmospheric Ingram Wynd.
With validity until 28th February, it would also make for an ideal Christmas gift.
