The pint-sized President Sarkozy may never be a great basketball player but the French have still done much for world happiness.
Not least when it comes to creating splendid food.
Today’s Big Deal with the Urban Bar and Brasserie is a fantastic way to sample some of the best dishes which the French kitchen has to offer.
Once home to the Bank of England’s Scottish HQ, the Urban Bar and Brasserie is a rather elegant spot in which to enjoy today’s Big Deal.
Found on St Vincent Street in Glasgow’s city centre, it is a smart looking space and the team in the kitchen are pretty sharp too. Urban Bar and Brasserie was awarded two AA Rosettes within months of opening.
They are also listed in the Michelin Guide and the Good Food Guide.
Three course French menu
As well as a glass of Laurence Methode Champenoise fizz on arrival, the Big Deal is for the set, three course, Taste of France menu.
