Authentic Italian
You have to go back to the sepia-tinged 20th century to find a time when ESCA was not a reliable landmark Italian restaurant in the Merchant City.
ESCA & Chisholm 27 serves up freshly-prepared, authentic Italian cuisine in a cosy candle-lit ambiance that has proved enduringly popular with discerning diners.
Available seven days a week from noon until 9.30pm, today’s Big Deal is for two people to each have a main course from the a la carte menu, and share a bottle of house wine.
The main event
Regional Italian dishes offer a tempting selection on the mains menu at ESCA.
In addition to a broad choice of pasta, pizza and risotti, mains highlights include Chicken Sangiancho, with black pudding and Marsala sauce, Vitello di Funghi, veal with mushroom, herbs and garlic in a creamy sauce, and Torta di Pesce, salmon and haddock fishcakes with prawns and salad.
All mains are served with hand cut chips, roast potatoes, mash or skinny fries. Note that there is a £6 per person supplement for steaks.

Tables must be booked at least 24 hours in advance via 5pm Online Redemption.
Tables must be returned within 90 minutes.
24 hour cancellation policy applies. Failure to provide sufficient notice may forfeit purchase.

Multiple purchases permitted. Max 12 people per booking (i.e. 6 purchases).
Children welcome until 8pm.
