Have you been to Leiper’s Attic, the new restaurant in Cottier’s?
Opened in September, the atmospheric Hyndland venue is a showcase for the glories of Scotland’s natural larder.
It’s already getting fantastic reviews.
This Big Deal is the perfect opportunity to see what the buzz is all about.
The offer is simple.
Buy the Big Deal for £25 and you will have £50 to spend on the a la carte menu at Leiper’s Attic.
The offer is valid from early January until 18th March 2018.
Christmas gift idea
It’s a great way to brighten up the early months of the year and this Big Deal would also make a mighty fine Christmas present for a food-loving friend or family member.
The restaurant’s name comes from William Leiper, who along with Daniel Cottier, created the church building which how houses Cottiers.
It is a romantic space -all cosy candles and fairy lights.
It is also very much a Scottish restaurant which aims to show Scotland’s best produce, especially our game, beef and wild fish, in the best light possible.
Super seasonal menu
They aim to be super seasonal so the a la carte will change regularly.
However typical starters might be the hand-dived scallops with lemon, whisky, baby capers and sea herbs or the beef tartar with roasted bone marrow, wild mushrooms, white onion and soda bread.
Fillet and sirloin steaks, a cote de boeuf sharing cut and whole lemon sole all feature on the mighty grill section.
The beef is dry-aged for 28 days in the restaurant’s own special lockers.
Other main course options might be the wild sea bass, pheasant or a roasted venison loin with butternut squash, kale, celery, wild mushrooms, honey and five spice sauce.
Dessert could be a dark chocolate ganache, sticky toffee pudding or a selection of cheeses from IJ Mellis.
Leiper’s Attic has not been open long but is already attracting rave reviews on its Facebook page:
‘I honestly don’t know where to begin. Everything was just perfect, and the place has only been open about a week! The food was cooked to perfection and the attention to detail with the food pairings was genius… Service was fantastic… The atmosphere of the restaurant was very romantic; perfect for our date night…’
TripAdvisor has been just as enthusiastic:
‘Brilliant. An all-round brilliant experience – staff, service and food all 10/10… We both had the cote de boeuf for our main course which was by far, the best steak I’ve had in years… Absolutely loved it and will return!’
Get dinner in the diary
January and February can be cold and wet. They will seem less bleak when you are booked in for a dinner date at Leiper’s Attic.
This offer would be ideal for a romantic dinner, a gourmet night out or a catch-up with friends.
It’s always good to hear the Christmas war stories and you can use two Big Deals between a table of four.
Did we mention that this would make a very welcome Christmas present?
