Northern Spain and central Glasgow are not often mistaken for one another.
However, the recently launched Mi Casa may cause some confusion.
A new tapas restaurant on Glasgow’s John Street, Mi Casa’s owner hails from the northern Spanish city of Zaragoza and has introduced a menu studded with delicious regional dishes.
Discover them with a friend thanks to today’s Big Deal on tapas for two.
Eat al fresco
We don’t want to tempt fate so we will whisper this: if the sun is shining then you may be able to make like our continental cousins and eat on the terrace at Mi Casa.
Tapas for two
Available from noon to 9.45pm, seven days a week, this offer is for two people to share bread and olives, five tapas from the main menu; a dessert plus a drink each.
Choose from a small glass of house red, white or rosé, sangria, Prosecco, a half pint of beer or soft drink.
Wide choice of tapas
From patatas bravas to gambas pil pil or spicy garlic prawns, there are plenty of old favourite tapas to choose from.
The Mi Casa tapas menu also offers less familiar options like the bread-crumb fried mussels stuffed with Béchamel sauce and the chicken wings cooked in an orange and beer sauce.
Whether you are a tapas novice or an old hand, there is plenty of choice with today’s Big Deal.
Mi Casa has only just opened its doors but has already attracted enthusiastic reviews on its Facebook page:
‘Absolutely fantastic tapas bar. Could not rate it any higher. Lovely staff who do their best to make sure that you have the best night. Congratulations to Mi Casa and their staff.’
Mi Casa is handy for events at the City Halls and Old Fruitmarket as well as the Gallery of Modern Art or shops of Argyle and Buchanan Street.
And with the offer available seven days a week, from noon to 9.45pm, this is a very flexible Big Deal which would lend itself to shopping trip breaks; nights out with friends; romantic dinners, lazy weekend lunches…
It’s also a great introduction to Mi Casa – Glasgow’s newest Spanish tapas restaurant.
