Since opening in 1991, the Killermont Polo Club has served a mouth-watering combination of traditional and innovative Indian dishes to a loyal clientele.
Under new ownership, recently refurbished and with a new high end food menu, the friendly welcome remains as warm as ever.
Available seven days a week, this Big Deal is for two people to share six dishes from the A La Carte tapas menu and includes a bottle of house wine at The Killermont Polo Club.
The offer also includes dipping dishes of raita plus tomato and red onion chutney; your choice of basmati rice or nan and a fresh green salad.
There are lots of tapas dishes to choose from. We would get the show on the road with the trio of samosa followed by Cajun and chilli chicken wings.
The karhi lamb chops in a dry spicy sauce sound enticing as does our old friend the jalfrezi chicken.
The seafood dishes at The Killermont Polo Club sound great. We can’t see past the South Indian garlic chilli king prawns – a hot dish cooked with king prawns, caramelised onions, fresh green chillies, root ginger, fresh coriander and herbs and spices.
There is a supplement of £2.50 on all seafood dishes.
Killermont Polo Club has been keeping customers happy for a very long time. This experience translates into happy reviews. This is from TripAdvisor:
‘Fantastic food. We ate here last night for the first time and it was amazing! The restaurant itself is beautiful inside and the waitresses were very attentive! Fantastic tapas offer which all four of us went for – it’s great to be able to sample new things. Service was extremely prompt and the food was excellent. I did not like one of my dishes and this was changed very quickly and with no hassle at all! The peshwari nan was delicious as was the prawn and monkfish Goan curry which I had never tried before. Everything about the meal and service was great and we will definitely be back! Thank you.’
This 5pm customer was just as pleased with her experience of The Killermont Polo Club:
‘Good food, good service, good price. The chicken pakora was freshly cooked and was very tender with a delicious flavour. The mains were also good quality and a generous portion. Service was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxing. Would definitely go back again.’ Rating 5/5
