The Corinthian Club

If you saw The Great Gatsby then you will know they sure knew how to throw a party during the Jazz Age.

Recreate the Roaring Twenties and raise a glass to today’s Big Deal on dinner, fizz and entry for one to the swinging Bang Bang Club at The Corinthian Club on Friday 5th May.

Gatsby is the theme for the evening and the Bang Bang Club will be puttin’ on the Ritz with a toe-tapping night dedicated to an array of jazz and swing classics.

The Bang Bang Club immerses guests in the seductive atmosphere of an underground speakeasy.

While it is certainly not obligatory, guests are welcome to get into the swing of things with some creative wardrobe choices.

Think feathered headbands, fur stoles and fedoras. Extra brownie points for spats.

Fun and fizz

The evening begins at 7.30pm with a welcoming glass of fizz. Dinner and the show are both served from 8pm.

To begin dinner, guests can choose between soup of the day with artisan bread or the chicken and black pudding terrine served with crisp leaves, toasted sourdough bread and red pepper chutney.

The main courses are chicken supreme with cauliflower and cumin purée, creamed potato and fine green beans or the sea bass fillet with herb crushed potatoes and roast cherry tomatoes with a caper and lemon butter.

To finish there is sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce or the lemon meringue tart with berry compote.

Introducing the band

Piano, drums, funky sax and double bass will lay down the soundtrack for the beguiling vocalists.

From classic Broadway hits to torch songs and jazz standards, the Bang Bang Club singers will be giving it their all.

And no-one will judge if you decide to sing along.

The show will last until 10pm followed by a DJ after party until midnight.
