The Cheddar Gorge is perhaps England’s best known canyon. Other canyons with food names include the Fish River Canyon in Namibia; the Foie Gras Gorge in France and, of course, the most famous of them all: the Whopper with Fries Gorge in Arizona. That’s the big one which was cut by the river that flows from Lake Coca Cola.
Today’s Big Deal will whet your appetite for adventure with a half day canyoning trip down the Keltyburn Canyon near Aberfeldy.
One of the world’s fastest growing adventure sports, canyoning involves climbing, slithering, sliding, swimming and shouting ‘Geronimo!’ while leaping from waterfalls.
Actually, you don’t have to leap from waterfalls if you don’t want to. Your day at Keltyburn Canyon will have plenty of thrills but you won’t need to have a rodeo-rider’s nerves to enjoy yourself.
Your hosts for the day are Splash who take more people canyoning every year than any other company in the UK. So far, over 5000 people have, er, splashed down with Splash.
Naturally, Splash will provide full wetsuits, helmets and all the other gear you need to make waves at Keltyburn Canyon.
As well as photos of you being gung ho, the deal also includes transport to the canyon and back from the Splash base in Aberfeldy.
If you fancy a half day running wet and wild through some of Scotland’s most beautiful scenery then today’s Big Deal is:
£22 for a half day canyoning expedition with Splash at Keltyburn Canyon, Aberfeldy; a 51% reduction on the standard £45
