The location of the afternoon tea is Windows’s gorgeous roof terrace which offers possibly the best view in Glasgow.

Sparkling rosé

It’s a very straightforward offer.

The Big Deal is for two people to each have afternoon tea with a glass of Barton & Guestier sparkling rosé wine.

Available Sunday to Friday, the deal is available from noon with sittings every half hour until 2.30pm.

Rooftop restaurant

Windows is at the Carlton George Hotel on West George Street, just off Buchanan Street and George Square.

The seventh floor restaurant is Glasgow’s only rooftop restaurant.

While Glasgow’s skyline is eye-catching so are the afternoon teas at Windows.

All of the sandwiches, cakes and scones are freshly baked each day. Guests can look forward to a selection of savoury finger sandwiches; scones with cream and strawberry jam; fantastic cakes and shot glass desserts.

Add in unlimited tea or coffee plus a glass of Barton & Guestier sparkling rosé and you have all the ingredients for a spectacular afternoon tea.

‘Delicious afternoon tea. I love afternoon tea and have visited most places in Glasgow that offer one! This was my first visit to the Carlton George and won’t be my last… The sandwiches were nice and fresh with nice and sufficient filling; the scones came ready filled with jam and cream but just the right amount. Then the cakes – lovely, bite-sized but a good few of them and each and every one was fresh and delicious. The bubbly was really nice as well, not too sweet and not too dry. Staff were polite and helpful and offered fresh tea. Very impressed and will be back – would highly recommend to anyone wishing to visit – the weather wasn’t great but still nice views over the rooftops of Glasgow.’
