The Greek gods were said to feast on ambrosia and nectar. Foods which were nearly as tasty as their Glasgow equivalents: chicken chasni and haggis pakora.
Feast like a legend with today’s Big Deal on the Taste of India menu at Mr Singh’s India.
Long established Indian
Since opening over fifteen years ago, three generations of the Singh family have served Glasgow’s curry lovers with menus that blend Indian culinary tradition with the occasional Scottish twist.
The Elderslie Street restaurant has recently had a face-lift and is looking more handsome than ever.
In fact, it’s nearly a match for the staff who cut quite a dash in their kilts and turbans.
Taste of India
Today’s Big Deal is for two people to enjoy the brilliant Taste of India menu. Ideal for curry fans that want variety, it’s a great way to taste several authentic Indian dishes.
The Taste of India menu has nine different starters and ten different main courses. Each couple can choose any four starters and three main courses to share.
The Taste of India menu is packed with great dishes. The selection of starters includes haggis pakora, chicken wings, bhajis and tandoori drum sticks.
Tempting main courses include lamb desi on the bone; a bhoona made with haggis and lamb ambala – the Singh family signature dish made to a secret recipe.
If you like your curry mild then try the chicken Kashmiri korma – a fruity fusion of yoghurt, saffron milk, pineapples, peaches, mango or bananas.
Those who like it hot, sweet and spicy, might prefer the punchy south Indian garlic chilli prawns.
