Many moons ago, the Urban Bar and Brasserie on St Vincent Place used to be the Bank of England’s Scottish headquarters.
In recent years, the banking sector hasn’t covered itself in glory but today’s Big Deal with the Urban Bar and Brasserie is a gilt-edged, sure fire banker which is likely to incur a high level of interest.
City centre elegance
With its wood panels, stunning flower displays and ornate cornicing, Urban Bar and Brasserie is rather an elegant city centre spot and this Big Deal is designed to let you see what they do best.
The Chef’s Choice menu is picked from dishes which have proven their popularity over the last six years.
Available on Sundays and Mondays only, the Big Deal is for two people to each have a starter, main course and dessert from the following menu:
Urban’s fish soup with crabmeat & ginger
Chicken liver parfait with red onion & fig chutney
Oven baked fillet of pollock with shellfish cream, peas & sun-blushed tomatoes
Cajun spiced chicken with Puy lentil sweet potato, honey & ginger cream
Chocolate panacotta with vanilla mascarpone
