Booming since it opened in late 2014, Giffnock’s Catch calls itself a ‘posh, modern-day, neighbourhood fish and chip shop and restaurant’.

The newspapers’ restaurant reviewers have had considerably more to say.

The Daily Record’s Gary Ralston reckoned that the fish ‘was first class’ and concluded that ‘This prize Catch is worth the effort.’

Over at The Herald, Ron Mackenna ate a ‘really lovely piece of cleanly fried fish’ and swore that ‘upmarket sit-down fish and chips is clearly the way forward.’
