Today’s Big Deal is for a Scottish Gin Tasting experience at KRU bar. Tucked away above The Finnieston, KRU is a cosy and intimate space for a tasting.

The event will be in a group of up to 20 fellow gin lovers. There is a choice of six dates, each taking place from 4pm-6.30pm:

Sunday 26th January

It includes a gin cocktail on arrival, followed by a guided tasting of three Scottish gins matched with the perfect tonics and garnishes. Canapes to complement the gins will also be served.

Scottish gin has rocketed in popularity over the past decade. For instance, over 40 creations have been launched in the last few years alone.

The majority of the gins are artisan craft brands with many distillers using local produce in their botanicals, such as sugar kelp or nettles.

Each Scottish gin also tends to have its own recommended garnish, like fresh mint for Daffy’s and frozen raspberries with Eden Mill Love.
