Now that the weather is warming up, we’ve been turning our thoughts to the perfect sunny day drink.
And while the internet is awash with exotic cocktail recipes, we don’t think that you can beat a classic, ice-cold G&T.
Obviously, with just the right garnish and ideally, served in a swish riverside setting. Throw in some nibbles and you’re in heaven.
So why not celebrate the sunny months in style with this Big Deal from Hilton Garden Inn on a sharing platter for two with your choice of G&Ts?
Hilton Garden Inn is an award-winning, four-star hotel at Finnieston Quay, close to the Hydro and SEC.
The prime riverside location makes this a gorgeous spot for drinking a perfect serve gin paired with a delicious platter of nibbles. All in the company of your favourite person, of course.
If the weather is fine, then you can even enjoy your treat on the Hilton’s swish terrace area.
Note that there may be booking restrictions on SEC and Hydro event days. Please check this directly with the hotel.
G&Ts and sharing platter for two
Available seven days until 31st July, the Big Deal option one is for two G&Ts per person plus a sharing board. Option two adds on an extra G&T each.
You will be able to choose your gins from a menu of ten. Your Hilton bar wizard will then pair it with a suitable Franklin Tonic and signature garnish.
Gins available are as follows: Gordon’s gin; Gordon’s pink gin; Tanqueray London dry gin, Bulldog London dry gin; Plymouth gin; Plymouth sloe gin; Bloom London dry gin; Whitley Neill blood orange gin; Whitley Neill raspberry gin; Whitley Neill rhubarb & ginger gin
Mixers available are as follows: natural Indian tonic water; natural light tonic water; Sicilian lemon tonic; original ginger ale; brewed ginger beer; original lemonade; rosemary tonic water with black olive; elderflower tonic water with cucumber; rhubarb tonic water with hibiscus; pink grapefruit tonic water with bergamot
Your sharing board will include sliced ham, sliced chorizo, blue cheese, cheddar, mixed olives, apricot & ginger chutney, cocktail gherkins, pickled onions, and bloomer bread.
If you are veggie, then you can swap the meat for cheese.
Recent 5pm visitors to Hilton Garden Inn have had this to say about their experience. We have edited their comments for length:

‘Great pre-theatre meal. Lovely atmosphere and views across river. Quick and friendly service. Food good. 5 mins walk to Hydro and Armadillo.’ 4.5/5
‘...Whenever I decide to take any of my friends out for Afternoon Tea, I always book the Hilton Garden Inn…have been there three times since the middle of February and will keep going back.’ 5/5
It’s officially gin time
Now that we’re getting into sunnier weather, what better excuse for sipping a civilised G&T (or three) in the setting of a stylish hotel?
This offer lets you sample your choice of gins with perfectly paired mixers, alongside a platter of tasty nibbles. If it’s sunny enough, you can enjoy it all on the Hilton’s terrace area.
The only question is, who will you be taking along with you?
