Italian meal for two

Dimora is a cosy and relaxed Italian restaurant on Ayr Road in Newton Mearns specialising in fresh and seasonal Campania region cuisine. This means that seafood is a particular feature of the menu.

As well as this, expect to find a range of classic Italian favourites as well.

Today’s Big Deal is for a two course meal (starter and main) for two from the a la carte menu, including a fizzy cocktail each on arrival with option two.

It is available seven days a week until the 28th of February 2018 (excluding selected dates).

You can buy multiples, meaning up to six people can dine at the same table, making this perfect for a festive gathering with friends. Children are also welcome, should you want to make it a family meal.

Smart Southside dining spot

Housed in a 19th century sandstone villa, Dimora is decorated in shades of soothing greys and creams with rustic, exposed stone walls creating an authentic feel.

An adjoining wine bar serving wine and cocktails, plus occasional gentle live music, add to the overall buzz.

Local attractions include Darnley Country Park and Eastwood Golf Course, so you could dine here after a bracing winter walk or spot of golf.

There is plenty of on-street parking by the restaurant.

Fresh and seasonal Campania cuisine

Dimora specialises in dishes from the Campania region which includes the Amalfi Coast, Naples and Sorrento.

The kitchen team aim to make as many dishes as possible from scratch, including their own pizza dough and pasta. As well as this, specialist ingredients are imported from Italy and skilfully prepared with seasonal Scottish meat, fish and vegetables.

Dishes can change, but from the pasta section you can try dishes like the spaghetti with slow cooked lamb, Neapolitan sausage and tomato ragu, while from the fish & mains section you can tuck into choices like the roasted sea bass fillets with herbs, garlic, lemon, carrot puree, potato and peas.

There is also a wide selection of pizzas to choose from, such as the Mortadella e’ Burrata with creamy burrata cheese, mortadella, pistachio & pecorino.

Gluten-free pasta is available upon request. Supplements apply to some dishes.
