If there is one universal truth to life, it is that no one ever complains about being given a voucher for a two course meal with Prosecco or a cocktail.
Especially if the restaurant in question is a chic city centre brasserie housed in dramatic surroundings. And even more especially if the menu is overseen by an accomplished chef.
In other words, today’s Big Deal for a two-course meal for two from Chez Mal’s spring menu, plus a glass of Prosecco or cocktail each, has ‘absolutely fabulous’ written all over it.
Housed in an impressive building that was once a Greek Orthodox church, Chez Mal in Malmaison hotel is a very atmospheric dining spot.
With its glittering domed ceiling, vibrant murals and relaxed brasserie-style service, this city centre venue is ideal for both relaxed meals and special occasions. Plus the candlelit booths make it a cosy and romantic spot to dine in.
The kitchen team is led by Head Chef John Burns, who has helped to oversee an exciting new set of dishes.

TripAdvisor reviewers have shared plenty of praise for Chez Mal, including the following, edited for length:
‘...on arrival we were impressed with the decor at reception with dark velvet style and candles, was quite gothic however very bright down stairs with modern bright atmosphere and quite cosy. The food was very nice… the staff very pleasant and accommodating, coming round regularly to make sure everyone received good service, very impressed.’
‘The service we received from Bartek and the other staff here was first class… we will definitely go back.’
‘We had a lovely meal tonight at Chez Mal. Food was excellent, especially the chicken liver mousse, salmon fishcakes and the steak frite. Our Waitress, Julia, was a gem…’
Chez Mal offers the best of both worlds — the glamour of a dramatic venue with the relaxed experience of brasserie dining. So it goes without saying that this would make a lovely and thoughtful treat for the food lover in your life.
Plus as this offer is available until the end of July, they will have plenty of time to take advantage of it.
