Tour and beer tasting

Available Monday to Thursday evenings, this offer is for one person to have a guided group tour of the brewery, followed by a beer tasting and two course meal from the market menu in the bar and restaurant.

Guests will leave with a souvenir WEST pint glass.

During your detailed 45 minute journey through the state-of-the-art microbrewery, the guide will talk you through the ingredients; the German Purity Law that WEST follows and the brewing production processes.

Tours conclude with a fifteen minute tutored tasting session of the house lagers and wheat beers.

Finally, your group will enjoy a two course meal from the market menu in the bar and restaurant.

Scottish ingredients, German cuisine

The menu changes regularly but typical starters on the market menu might be the Reibekuchen, crispy potato pancakes with horse radish, sour cream and apple sauce or the onion & WEST beer battered Bajis.

Chicken schnitzel with spätzle in a smokey tomato sauce is always a popular main course as is the bratwurst on bacon tossed cabbage with mash.

Desserts might feature the lemon tart with berry compote or you could stick with the German-theme and have the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream.
