You don’t need to have hopes of gymnastics gold at the Commonwealth Games to benefit from osteopathy.

Used to treat sports injuries, back troubles, postural problems and trapped nerves, osteopathy can help alleviate pain and let you live your life.

Today’s Big Deal with Glasgow Osteopaths offers a fantastic opportunity to see how osteopathy can help you.

Recognised by the BMA

Recognised by the British Medical Association as a discrete clinical discipline, osteopaths are trained to diagnose and treat many causes of pain.

Osteopathic treatment is appropriate for a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders including: back pain, neck and shoulder pain, headaches and arthritic pain.

Choice of clinic location

This Big Deal is available in three Glasgow Osteopath Clinics: Natural Health Service on Glasgow High Street; Lenzie Osteopathic Clinic and Paisley Osteopathic Clinic on Moss Street.

Between the three clinics, their fully trained osteopaths currently treat approximately 200 osteopathic patients per week. These patients range from young babies to those of a great age.

Osteopathic treatment

Available Monday to Saturday, option one is for one person to have a spinal assessment followed by 30 minutes of individually tailored osteopathic treatment, comprising joint manipulation and soft tissue work.

Option two is for the assessment only.

The assessment uses a spinal analysis machine; includes a diagnostic photo and an explanation of postural issues.

What happens?

When you visit an osteopath for the first time, a full medical history will be taken and you will be given an examination. You may be asked to remove some of your clothing and to perform a simple series of movements so that the mobility of your body can be evaluated.

Any points of weakness, excessive strain or specific injury will be identified. This musculoskeletal assessment will be considered alongside lifestyle factors such as work and leisure activities, to enable a full diagnosis and suitable treatment plan to be determined.

Happy clients

The three Glasgow Osteopath clinics have helped many patients. These are testimonials which grateful clients have given the clinics:

‘Thanks for time and professional help on Saturday – greatly appreciated. My swift recovery is due to your expertise.’

‘The osteopath was amazing. It was like bits of you were put back in place. I would recommend it to anyone.’

Take up to day’s Big Deal with Glasgow Osteopaths and learn how their tried and tested pain-relief techniques can help you.
