The Library

As the name suggests, The Library restaurant in Bearsden used to be a public library.

You can no longer borrow the Harry Potter books from there but the menu still offers plenty of thrillers and it’s a conducive spot for a romance.

A casual brasserie and grill, The Library is on Milngavie Road in Bearsden.

Carefully placed books dotted around the interior reference its old life. The open plan kitchen means that guests can watch the chefs concentrate on the artful presentation of their dishes.

Available Tuesday to Sunday, this offer is for two people to have a 10oz rump steak.

At The Library, the Scotch beef is aged and hung for a minimum of 40 days before being seasoned and cooked on the open flame charcoal grill.

The deal includes hand-cut chips a sauce for each diner.
