Our New Year resolution is to drink better wine and today’s Big Deal for the Glasgow Spring Wine Festival will help us do just that.
Taking place in the Trades Hall of Glasgow on Glassford Street, the Spring Wine Festival is hosted by The Wine Palate and it is a fantastic way to learn more about wine – all in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Sample more than 70 wines
Held over two sessions on Saturday 28th March 2015, the festival gives wine lovers the opportunity to sample over 70 wines from premium, boutique and family-owned vineyards from Spain, New Zealand, South America, Romania, Australia, France and more.
Choice of session time
The offer is for a one person entry ticket to either the afternoon session, which runs 1.30pm-5pm, or the evening session, which runs from 6.30pm-10pm.
This event features:
Top quality wine sampling
Mini-master classes on choosing wine and food pairing
Artisan, Scottish cheese tastings
Olive oil tasting – try high quality olive oils, learn their unique characteristics
Live jazz and blues pianist
If you like wine and would like to learn more, this is a great opportunity to learn first hand about the passion and expertise that goes into making boutique quality wine.
Visitors will be able to talk directly to the vineyard representatives – an opportunity normally only available to trade customers.
The Glasgow Spring Wine Festival is for wine lovers who want to find out more without wine snobbery, wine jargon or complicated technical information.
Naturally, if you find a great wine which you love then you can order more on the day.
