Now that The Great British Bake Off is finished, the idea of actually cooking anything suddenly seems a lot less appealing.

Happily, today’s Big Deal is the perfect excuse to hang up the apron and enjoy some fine food in the stylish Hyde Bar and Grill.

Stylish West End bar

Located on Partick Bridge Street, Hyde Bar and Grill is a good looking and very welcoming West End bar.

As well as an attention-grabbing interior design, it offers a variety of rather cool spaces in which diners can choose from a great selection of mouth-watering dishes.

Scottish ingredients

Available seven days a week, today’s offer is for two people to each enjoy a two course meal at Hyde Bar and Grill.

A 175ml glass of house wine or bottle of house beer is included in the offer.

The menu changes regularly but typical starters might be the baked red pepper stuffed with goats cheese; the chicken liver parfait served with Arran oaties or the smoked mackerel tian with pickled fennel.

Popular main courses include the Italian sausage stew with fresh herbs, new potatoes and home-made crusty bread, or the corn-fed chicken which is marinated in lemon and thyme, then served with garlic and parsley buttered baby potatoes, corn on the cob and charred chilli sambal.

Hyde’s signature burger, served with hand cut chips, is always a winner.

Among the desserts, the house cheesecake of the day has many fans while traditionalists may prefer the sticky toffee pudding or home made blueberry crème brulee.

There is a £5 supplement on steak dishes and a £1.50 supplement on additional burger toppings.
