This Big Deal writer once took his Mum to see the musical Cats.
‘Did you enjoy that?’ I asked afterwards.
‘Not really,’ she said. ‘I prefer dogs.’
Whether your Mum likes Cats, Phantoms, Miss Saigon or Les Mis, this special Bang Bang Club night at The Corinthian Club will give her something to sing about.
The Big Deal is for one person to enjoy dinner, fizz and entry to the Broadway edition of the Bang Bang Club at The Corinthian Club on Friday 16th of March.
A toe-tapping night dedicated to the best loved songs from the biggest musicals, this Bang Bang Club night immerses guests in all the glamour and glitz of Broadway.
It would make a fantastic Mother’s Day gift and one that she will be talking about for years to come.
Option one is a standard ticket, and option two is for a balcony ticket only.
Fun and fizz
The evening begins at 7.30pm with a welcoming glass of fizz. Dinner and the show are both served from 8pm.
To begin dinner, guests can choose between chicken liver parfait with apple purée, roasted apples and pea shoot salad or roast tomato soup with basil oil.
The main courses are chicken supreme wrapped in Parma ham with a red wine sauce or braised blade of beef Bourguignon.
To finish there is glazed lemon tart with clotted cream and berries.
Introducing the band
Piano, drums, funky sax and double bass will lay down the soundtrack for the beguiling vocalists.
From classic Broadway hits to songs from contemporary blockbusters, the Bang Bang Club singers will be giving it their all.
And no-one will judge if you decide to sing along.
The show will last until 10pm followed by a DJ after party until midnight.
Previous Bang Bang events have sold out and this one is unlikely to be any different. Especially since it is taking place in the swish surroundings of The Corinthian Club.
With a thousand reviews on its 5pm Dining page, the venue has earned a combined score of 4.2/5. This is what a recent guest had to say:

‘Bang Bang Club night delivered! Took my Mum to Corinthian’s Bang Bang Club Night which consisted of a glass of bubbly on arrival and a lovely meal whilst listening to fabulous live jazz and blues music. We had the best night! Transported with yesteryear’s speakeasy atmosphere in beautiful surroundings and great drinks. We couldn’t ask for more… Fabulous night to suit romantic couples or friends… Can’t wait for the next one! Highly recommended.’
