If you saw The Great Gatsby then you will know they sure knew how to throw a party during the Jazz Age.

As it happens, the Big Deal boffins are still working on a time machine that can transport us back to the Roaring Twenties.

Until that happy day arrives, we’ll raise a glass to today’s Big Deal on dinner, fizz and entry to the swinging Bang Bang Club at The Corinthian Club on Friday 26th May.

A toe-tapping night dedicated to an array of jazz and swing classics, the Bang Bang Club immerses guests in the seductive atmosphere of an underground speakeasy.

Fun and fizz

Your evening begins at 7.30pm with a welcoming glass of fizz. Dinner and the show are both served from 8pm.

The starters are soup of the day served with artisan bread or chicken liver parfait with William pear chutney and oat cakes.

The main course offers a choice between roast chicken breast with rosemary crushed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and red wine jus or the butternut squash gnocchi with goat’s curd and sage pesto.

Introducing the band

Piano, drums, funky sax and double bass will lay down the soundtrack for the beguiling vocalists.

Channelling everyone from Mae West to Judy Garland, the singers will charm the audience with hits such as Summertime, I Got A Woman, Feeling Good and Putting on the Ritz.

The show will last until 10pm followed by a DJ after party until midnight.
