What’s the best way to embrace our brand new decade of the 2020s? By conjuring up the decadent spirit of the 1920s, of course.
Because behind a certain door in Glasgow, the jazz is swinging, the flappers are partying and the fizz is flowing. But shhh, don’t tell a soul…
Fizz, flappers and fun
If you have ever wanted to step into the world of The Great Gatsby or Peaky Blinders, now’s your chance to sling on those feather boas, flat caps and spats.
This Big Deal is for one ticket to a decadent underground speakeasy at Arta’s Bang Bang Club on Friday the 28th of February.
With guests to be seated for 7.30pm, the evening will include a cava reception on arrival, tasty two course dinner and live 1920s inspired show of jazz and swing classics.
The event ends at 11pm, but includes free entry to Arta’s Canvas Club afterwards.
Decorated hacienda-style with statues, candles and columns, stepping into Arta is like stepping into another world.
The Speakeasy will take place in the venue’s Canvas Club space with its sleek red velvet seats and cosy booths.
Dinner and a show is always a winning combination. Here is a sample menu:
Soup of the day, with a slice of bloomer bread (v)
Chicken liver parfait, with chargrilled tomato chutney & Arran oaties
Roast chicken supreme, with dauphinoise potato, honey roast roots & thyme jus
Potato gnocchi, with sauté spinach, roasted red pepper & Parmesan blossoms (v)
Desserts can also be added on the day for a £5 supplement.
Travel back in time
It’s not often that you get the chance to put yourself in the centre of the roaring twenties.
This Big Deal offers a fabulous Friday night out for anyone who loves fizz, flappers and fun.
So why not round up a few friends and get ready for some Charleston action?
