We’re not dissing the turkey but it’s good to shake things up occasionally.
Give your party season a South Seas slant with today’s Big Deal on a festive dinner for two at The Pacific Tiki Bar on Dumbarton Road.
Polynesia in Partick
Sitting pretty on the sunny shores of Partick, The Pacific is decked out like a Polynesian beach hut and stocked with more rum than you dare imagine.
In short, it’s the perfect spot to be a Christmas castaway.
Available Sunday to Thursday in December, this offer is for one person to have three courses from The Pacific’s festive dining menu.
As well as tea or coffee, the offer also includes half a cocktail sharing bowl. From coconut grenades to rum bongos, The Pacific can rustle up a wide range of banging jungle juice cocktails.
Starters include chicken satay skewers, crispy spring rolls and the salt and pepper squid.
There are several main courses to choose from. As well as Thai red, green and massman beef curries, there is salmon teriyaki, stir-fried chicken with chilli jam and the classic phat Thai noodle dish.
The options include a tasty tofu and vegetable red curry and even a Pacific Christmas meatloaf.
Regulars will know that the house burger is always popular.
For the Christmas menu, the kitchen has pulled out all the stops and diners can tuck into a Scottish beef burger dressed with red onion, gem lettuce, dill pickles and chipotle mayo.
For dessert, customers have several options like the deep fried ice cream with joconde sponge, coconut sponge and mango coulis, or the tangy chocolate and orange cheesecake.
There are two sittings for this offer: 6pm and 8pm.
Over a hundred 5pm Dining customers have given The Pacific a combined 4.3/5 rating. This is what a couple of recent diners had to say:
‘Fantastic. Food and drink was great, and the service and atmosphere is top notch. We will be back!’ Rating 5/5
‘Something different. Me and my husband had a lovely meal, relaxed atmosphere and very nice staff, we will definitely be back.’
