Not many people know this but when the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was first formulated in 1948, it included a clause which stated that a weekly curry was a fundamental human right.
Fight for your right to scoff a delicious Himalayan hotpot with today’s Big Deal at the Ashoka Southside on Clarkston Road.
A popular Southside restaurant for over twenty years, this Ashoka is tried and tested but also isn’t afraid to move with the times.
With a menu that blends innovative new dishes with trusted old favourites, this popular Indian restaurant is a beacon for Southside curry lovers and it scores a whopping 4.6/5 from 5pm reviewers.
2 course Indian meal
Available seven days a week, this lip-licking Big Deal is for two people to each enjoy a starter and main course plus bread or rice at the Ashoka Southside.
It would be great for a quiet meal for two or you could buy a handful of vouchers and have a big night out with friends or family.
Fantastic selection of dishes
There is a massive variety of mouth-watering favourites on the Ashoka menu.
Whether you fancy a gentle mughlai korma or a hot and spicy South Indian garlic chilli chicken, the Ashoka Southside has just the dish to set your taste buds dancing.
We like the look of the chicken dilruba – marinated chicken cooked in a coconut base with garlic butter and green chilli.
Although we are also keeping an eye on the ra ra gosht. Obviously, the name is amazing.
Moreover, any dish that combines diced lamb and lamb mince with a masala sauce is on the road to greatness.
Tandoori dishes are excluded from the deal. There is a £2.95 supplement on king prawn dishes.
Not surprisingly, the Ashoka Southside has plenty of loyal fans but is also adept at attracting new enthusiasts. We liked this short but effective review which was posted on the restaurant’s 5pm entry at the end of April:
‘Excellent service and excellent food. We will definitely go back again.’
Not eating great curry on a regular basis is a terrible injustice.
Do your taste buds a favour and fight for your right to curry with today’s Big Deal for two people at the Ashoka Southside.
