Once more, the newspapers are predicting that this will be the worst winter in 25 years/50 years/forever. Delete as applicable.
Whatever the weather, you can deliver some sunshine in 2016 with today’s Big Deal from Barca Tapas and Cava Bar in the vibrant Princes Square on Buchanan Street.
With vouchers valid until the end of March, this offer is the perfect way to give the gift of authentic Spanish paella and genuine Spanish hospitality.
Now celebrating ten successful years, Barca Tapas and Cava Bar has long welcomed guests to its sophisticated dining room.
Dine on the terrace
As well as a modernist, Spanish-inspired interior, Barca Tapas has terrace seating on the second floor of Princes Square.
This January, you can do as the Spanish do and eat on the terrace without fear of the Scottish weather causing frostbite.
Dishing up some Catalan sunshine to Glasgow city centre, this Big Deal is for two people to share an authentic paella with a portion of olives to share as an appetiser.
To accompany the food at Barca Tapas, guests will be offered a small glass of house wine.
Choice of paella
Barca Tapas uses the freshest ingredients and authentic Spanish rice from the Delta del Ebro to make its range of paellas.
Diners can choose from the following:
Paella de pescado- king prawns, tiger prawns, calamari and mussels
Paella de carne – chicken, beef, pork and chorizo
Paella de Valencia – king prawns, calamari, mussels, chicken, chorizo and beef
Paella de verduras – padron peppers, mushrooms, asparagus, squash and spinach
All the paellas are made to order and take around 45 minutes to prepare. They are worth the wait.
For ten years, Barca has been winning fans of Spanish food and, at the time of writing, more than 800 customers have rated Barca a tasty 4.1/5 on the 5pm website.
These recent reviews were typical:
‘Our food was exceptionally good, really enjoyed our visit to Barca. Our waitress, Lannair was very helpful and pleasant. We will be back soon!’ Rating 5/5

With vouchers valid until the end of March, you could also load up on a handful of vouchers and treat yourself and friends to some authentic Spanish paella in the early part of 2016.
