A beautifully restored, grade B-listed building, Carnbooth House Hotel is set within eight acres of lovingly kept grounds.

Two course meal
Carnbooth’s kitchens have an emphasis on creating dishes which use local, seasonal produce.
The chefs describe their dishes as Scottish cuisine with a modern twist and the service is smart, relaxed and informal.
Experience it all with today’s Big Deal.
Available Sun noon-6pm; Mon-Tue noon-3pm; Wed-Fri noon-6pm, the offer is for two people to have two courses (starter and main course or main course and dessert) from the Red Room lunch menu at Carnbooth House Hotel.
Exact dishes may change depending on the fresh produce available but typical starters might be the creamy Cullen skink or the oven baked goats cheese, apple, red onions and spiced nut crumble.
Popular main courses include the roast supreme of chicken, dauphinoise potatoes, and haggis or the baked salmon, with pak choi, green onions, beetroot puree and ginger.
Diners might finish with a sticky sponge pudding, butterscotch sauce and crème fraîche or the apple and rum sponge, raisin puree and fresh custard.
Carnbooth House Hotel is on Busby Road by Carmunnock. Glasgow city centre is around a fifteen minute drive via the A728 or A77 and the hotel has ample parking. The nearest railway station is Busby.

‘Hidden gem…This is a fantastic place for a meal, the staff were so welcoming… and we were immediately shown to our table… Food was incredibly good and presented exceptionally well. I have eaten in restaurants around the world thanks to work travel, but I have to say this is one of the best meals I’ve eaten in a long time. Will be back for sure.’ Rating 5/5
As we noted, today’s Big Deal would be great for a lazy weekend lunch or a decadent mid-week gossip with a chum.
It could also be the centrepiece of a nice day out. A little countryside drive followed by a leisurely lunch could be just the trick to make Aunty Betty feel special.
