Oscar Wilde once quipped that ‘We are all lying in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars’.
Take up today’s Big Deal on an overnight stay for 2 people with a twilight spa experience at the renowned Cameron House and you can look at the stars from the rather more comfortable rooftop infinity pool at the Carrick Spa.
This romantic offer isn’t valid for use on Valentine’s Day itself but it is sure to put a large smile on the face of a loved one when it falls from their card on the 14th of February.
Who wouldn’t want to wake up in a lochside baronial mansion with their partner next to them?
Shores of Loch Lomond
Valid Sunday to Thursday, the offer is for two people to spend a night in a Classic Garden View room at the opulent Cameron House on the shores of Loch Lomond.
As well as a 20% discount on spa treatments, the offer includes a two hour thermal experience in the magical Carrick Spa – winner of The Good Spa Awards 2012 – Scotland.
It also includes a 20% discount on food from the a la carte menus in the Boat House by the marina; at the Claret Jug in the golf club or in the baronial splendour of the Cameron Grill in the hotel itself.
Staying in a Classic Garden View room, guests can look forward to beautifully decorated bedrooms which blend contemporary style with a nod to the Highlands; Egyptian cotton sheets; monsoon showers and the fluffiest of bathrobes.
A glass of bubbly on arrival will help you to settle in to your new home.
Twilight thermal spa experience
Your twilight spa experience is a blissful two hour journey in which you and your companion can indulge in a selection of hydro and thermal experiences.
The Spa’s many luxurious features include Vishi shower beds, an infra red sauna, hydrotherapy pool, aromatherapy steam room, hammam steam room, Jacuzzi and 20 metre, lagoon pool.
Of course, let’s not forget the rooftop infinity pool where you can look out over Loch Lomond or look up to the night sky.
With this offer, your thermal experience will take place 7pm-9pm if staying Sunday to Thursday or from 6pm-8pm if you are staying on a Sunday night.
Remember, if you choose to enjoy other spa treatments during your stay, this offer entitles you to a 20% discount if you pre-book them.
Finest Scottish produce
A full Scottish breakfast is included but, as part of this offer, guests can also make use of a 20% discount on food when dining from the a la carte menus in Cameron Grill, the Claret Jug or the Boat House.
Looking out over the marina, the New England style Boat House is the perfect setting for seafood, wood-fired pizza or paella while the Claret burger and fries at the Claret Jug are legends in their own tee off times.
In the grand Cameron Grill, which is kept cosy with an open fire, diners can feast on dishes such as aged Scottish beef, Tarbert scallops, Highland venison and Perthshire pheasant.
The Big Deal team have been up to Cameron House on a few occasions and loved both the Loch Lomond setting and the baronial feel of the hotel. We can’t claim to have mastered the Championship Golf Course but that’s down to us.
Of course, you don’t have to take our word for how special Cameron House. This TripAdvisor review, posted earlier this week, is typical:
‘Surpassed all expectations. We stayed three nights in January and had already built up high expectations as the hotel came highly recommended from a friend. When our flight was cancelled on the return journey to Heathrow because of snow in England we were truly delighted as we had the choice to extend our stay which says it all. It could not have been a more positive experience. From the breath-taking scenery of Loch Lomond, to the warm and professional staff, to the stunning Great Scots Bar, to the wonderful array of sporting facilities, to the outstanding cuisine, to the tasteful decor, the whole hotel exudes intimate luxury.’
