Well, we’ve just had the driest April for years so look out for looming whisky shortages.
It’s OK. Don’t panic. There almost certainly won’t be any whisky drought.
However, we’re not taking any chances and are booking in for today’s Big Deal on tutored whisky tastings at the excellent Robert Graham shop in Glasgow.
Well known for their independent bottlings, as well as the impressive range of proprietary whiskies they stock, the Robert Graham shop in Glasgow is a whisky lover’s paradise.
Knowledgeable staff
Run by experienced and knowledgeable staff, their tutored whisky tastings will feature three drams of Robert Graham award-winning whisky plus a dram of a special featured whisky.
The drinks will be accompanied by oatcakes and shortbread. Each event is limited to ten places.
Option two also includes a branded souvenir whisky glass to take away.
Option three is for the tasting, a glass and a bottle of Ailein Mor to take home.
An exclusive Robert Graham bottling of a single malt from the Highlands, Ailein Mor is a Silver Medal winner in the International Spirits Challenge 2014, and winner of a Silver Award for the Highland Independent Bottler of the Year Award 2012.
The nose echoes the summer meadows and Highland valleys that give this whisky its name – ‘Ailein Mor’ is Gaelic for ‘great green valley’.
Summer fun
The tastings will take place in the Robert Graham shop on West George Street. They are friendly, informal tastings designed to appeal to the interested whisky drinker whether they are an old hand or a new convert.
All the tastings run at either 6.30pm on Thursdays or 2.30pm on Saturdays, starting Thursday 22nd of June and ending on Thursday 20th of July.
Customers are asked to book tickets for specific tastings. Tastings will last roughly between 60 and 90 minutes.

Important Information
Option 1 for each date is for 1 person to have a tutored whisky tasting.
Option 2 for each date is for 1 person to have a tutored whisky tasting + branded glass to take away.
Option 3 for each date is for 1 person to have a tutored whisky tasting + branded glass & bottle of Ailein Mor whisky to take away.
Session lasts approximately 60-90 minutes.
Advanced booking is not required. Entry is only valid for the date shown on your purchase. Purchase cannot be exchanged for a different date or option.
