Fusion dishes

Obu is a modern pan Asian restaurant located within Glasgow’s Princes Square. 

Featuring a hip, contemporary decor, the restaurant offers fusion dishes from Thailand, Japan, Korea, China and India.

The manager, Tom, was brought up in Hong Kong; a city where many of the restaurants pretty much define pan Asian cooking.

His experience is just one of the reasons why so many diners are commenting favourably on the authenticity of the dishes at Obu.

Nasi goreng to katsu curry

Available seven days a week, the offer is for two people to each have a glass of house wine or half pint of Kirin Ichiban beer along with a main course from the noodle or rice dish menu sections.

We have the hots for the chicken yaki soba but could be persuaded by the prawn pad Thai.

Having said that, the chicken katsu curry is always a winner and the Thai green curry is just the ticket on a cold February night.

Try it out

Obu is on the second floor of Princes Square shopping centre and diners have the option of eating on the terrace – all the atmosphere of dining al fresco without the possibility of frostbite.
