Minestrone – homemade vegetable and tomato soup served with crusty bread (v)

Zuppa del giorno – homemade soup of the day served with crusty bread

Cozze con il pomodoro – steamed Scottish mussels with tomato, garlic and chilli

Crostini con verdure miste – toasted Italian bread topped with roast vegetables finished with a balsamic jus (v)

Insalata Cesare – hearts of romaine, garlic croutons & Parmesan, tossed in a Caesar dressing with marinated anchovies

Main courses

Merluzzo alla Genovese – fillet of cod served with croutons, pine nuts, basil mash and salsa verde

Risotto funghi – creamy Arborio rice with sautéed mushrooms in white wine and garlic finished with Parmesan shavings and a drizzle of truffle oil (v)

Pollo peperonata – roast breast of chicken with a caponata of roast pepper, onion and courgette in a rich garlic and tomato sauce served with sautéed rosemary potatoes

Pizza contadina – stone baked pizza with rosemary sautéed potato, onion, thyme and cherry tomatoes (v)

Linguine con pollo e pancetta – flat spaghetti with sauté chicken, diced pancetta and a pesto cream sauce

Bistecca alla pepe – prime 8oz prime sirloin steak, served with chunky chips & a peppercorn sauce (£5 supplement)

Desserts

Semi-freddo al ciocolato – iced chocolate & praline cream

Tiramisu classico – Savoiardi sponge fingers soaked in coffee liqueur, layered in a light Marsala & mascarpone Zabaglione cream

Pannacotta con lamponi – vanilla pannacotta served with raspberry compote

Amarone cheese platter – a selection of Italian cheeses served with oatcakes & honey (£2 supplement)
